We have a SQL Server 2012 standard edition server with build number 11.0.3330.0(*64) on a 64 bit Windows 2008 OS (in Production environment).

When ever we tried to expand the Databases option from Object explorer it hangs for indefinite time and throws a exception of Time out error after few minutes. Same server work fine if we connect from SQL 2008 R2 client SSMS. How ever 2008 R2 doesn't support for many options of SQL 2012 (Design and Edit table.. etc). Its really causing a big problem for us, please help me on this. Thanks in advance.
